One of you is always cold. And your feet are colder than the rest of you.
This underblanket is divided four ways: two sides, and within each side an upper and a lower zone. The manufacturer specifies 40 °C and 45 °C for the two upper zones, 50 °C and 55 °C for the two lower ones. The foot of the bed runs warmer than the shoulder end, because that is where the cold is felt last and longest.
Two controllers. One of you can have it on while the other has it off. Nobody negotiates.

Safety
It is an electrical appliance that spends the night under two people. So this is the second thing on the page, not the last.
- The controllers detach at the underblanket. The electronics come off, and they never go near water.
- A timer you choose: one, three or nine hours, set on each side independently. When it runs out, the power stops.
- Two controllers, so a setting on one side cannot be changed from the other.
- 220-240 V, on a BS 1363 three-pin plug.

Before you use it
- Not for a baby, or a child who cannot work the controller.
- Not for anyone who cannot feel heat properly, or who could not react to it getting too hot.
- Do not use it folded or creased, and do not put it on top of you. This one goes under the sheet.
- Do not put pins or needles in it.
- Look at the cable and the fabric before each winter. If anything is scorched, frayed or cracked, stop using it and tell us.
- Unplug it before washing, and let it dry completely before it goes back on.

Read this before you choose. Hazel and Rowan measure 150 by 80 cm single and 160 by 140 cm double: they warm the part of the bed you lie on, not the whole mattress. Oak measures 190 by 90 cm single and 190 by 140 cm double, which is the full length of most mattresses. Neither is a fault; they are two different products, and the difference is the reason Oak costs more.
